Mark DeJohn Completes A.R.T. Certification
BEND, Ore. – March 15, 2006 - Mark DeJohn, Licensed Massage Therapist with Active Therapeutics, recently completed the Full Body Certification in Active Release Techniques (ART) after attending a week-long seminar for the spine in Vancouver, B.C. He is currently studying biomechanics through an intensive, six-month certification process. DeJohn, and his wife, Tana Schartz-DeJohn, are the only full body certified providers of ART in Central Oregon.

Active Release Techniques utilize principles of friction and tension to actually “tear” or “shear” adhesions away from muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments. Properly employed, ART’s success rate is more than 90%, even with chronic problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome and rotator cuff tendonitis.
